We’ve heard your feedback and have updated our psychiatric templates and the session confirmation flow to better match your workflow. These enhanced psychiatric templates are designed to streamline your documentation workflow while improving billing compliance and clinical quality. You can fill out these templates live during your sessions or at the time of session confirmation.
Key features of the new templates
Pre-fills
- When you complete an intake note in our new templates, relevant information will automatically populate in future progress notes
- You have the option to select from which prior note you’d like to pre-fill
- Sections needing your attention are clearly highlighted
- You can edit any pre-filled information before signing the note
Documentation management and navigation
- Navigate quickly between sections with the new table of contents
- Only see relevant fields based on your clinical selections
- Clear indicators will show which fields are required vs. optional
- Quickly find medications and allergies with our new medication and allergy search
Using the new templates
Step 1: Accessing the updated templates
To access the updated templates, you’ll first need to navigate to the session. You can do this either from the home page directly under Upcoming sessions or by clicking on the session in the calendar.
From the home page
- Scroll down until you see Upcoming sessions
- Click on the relevant session, and select Manage
- Click Start progress note if it’s prior to the session end time, or Confirm session details if the session has finished
- Follow the steps below to write the note and confirm the session

Step 2: Choose the updated Psychiatric Intake or Progress Note template
When confirming a session, fill out the session details as normal. Then scroll down, and click on the templates drop-down menu.
The two templates that have been updated are Diagnostic eval: Medical Services and Progress note: Therapy and medical services. The selection will be made automatically based on the CPT code selected in the session details, but you can change it by selecting the carrot next to the note type.

Step 3: Fill out the template
We’ve made several updates to our existing psychiatric templates which you’ll now see and can use to capture your session notes.
Step 4: Review & Sign
Once you review your finalized note, you can attest and sign the note!
