Our Provider Referral Program enables you to earn rewards by spreading the word about Headway to providers in your network! Your trust is extremely valuable to us, and we appreciate you advocating for Headway within your own community.
What to know before getting started
- You'll earn up to $600 for each individual provider you refer to Headway, as soon as they complete our intake form
- You'll earn up to $100 for each provider you add to your group practice, as soon as they confirm their first appointment on Headway
- There’s no limit to the number of providers you can invite to Headway
- If you refer a provider to Headway after they've already joined, you will not be eligible to receive a referral bonus
- If you refer a provider to Headway who has already been referred by someone else, the initial referrer will receive a referral bonus if the referred provider completes our intake process

Qualifications
To qualify for an increased Provider Referral Bonus, you must refer a provider to Headway who meets the requirements outlined above within the defined offer time period. Providers added to group practices are not eligible for an increased Provider Referral Bonus. To receive a Provider Referral Bonus, your referral must complete our intake form. Any referrals submitted outside this timeframe, or who do not meet the conditions outlined above, will be eligible for our traditional $250 referral bonus, unless otherwise noted.
How Headway providers can refer
You can always access our Provider Referral Program directly from Sigmund, your provider portal. There are two ways to refer a provider to Headway:
- Share their information directly with us
- Share your unique referral URL with them

- On the right side of the page, click “Refer a Provider Here” to access our referral form.
- Fill out the form to share the following information about your referral with us:
- First and Last Name
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- License Type
- Practice State
- Submit the form, and one of our Practice Consultants will reach out to your referral within 24 hours to schedule an initial call.
- In your Headway Provider Portal, click Refer a Provider on the bottom left of the page to access our Provider Referral Program.
- On the right side of the page, copy your unique referral URL.
- Share your URL directly with providers you know, or post it on social media if you’re an active user!
- When a provider clicks your URL, they'll be able to fill out their own information on our website. One of our Practice Consultants will reach out to them within 24 hours to schedule an initial call.
How Headway customers refer
There are two ways to refer a provider to Headway, but first, you’ll need to set up a Headway account. Once you've created an account and logged in, there are two ways to refer a provider to Headway:
- Share their information directly with us

How and when you receive referral bonuses
You’re eligible to receive our referral bonus as soon as your referral submits their intake form.
- We issue all referral bonus payments via PayPal
- We’ll let you know once your referral has completed our intake process to confirm that you’re eligible to receive our referral bonus
- You’ll receive an email directly from PayPal within 48 hours of your referral completing our intake process with instructions to access your referral bonus
- Standard transfers from PayPal to your bank account normally take 1-3 days
Using PayPal to receive your bonus
If you don’t have a PayPal account set up, it only takes a few minutes to create a free account here. Once you create an account, you’ll be able to quickly transfer any referral bonus payments directly to your bank account.
If you receive over $600 in referral bonus payments from Headway, PayPal will also generate a 1099 for you in accordance with IRS requirements.

Our team will send any referral bonus payments to the email address you have listed on Headway. If you’d prefer that we use an alternate email address for PayPal payments, please let us know, and we’ll update that on our end.

- The provider you referred joined Headway before your referred them
